Founder of Finrare, Benjamin Girard has spent over twenty years advising financial institutions, funds and institutional investors in the management and valuation of complex assets — non-performing loans, real estate portfolios and investment strategies.

His career combines operational mastery of NPLs — gained as a partner in a firm managing €1.2bn in assets and as CEO of the debt collection subsidiary of a 400-employee bank — and expertise in professional real estate investment, international fundraising and leading data-driven strategic transformations.

Educated at HEC Executive Paris and holding degrees from IDRAC and the University of Coventry, he works in both French and English with European, American and Middle Eastern counterparties.

General management of a debt collection subsidiary of a Bank with 400 employees (NBI: €85M). Strategic repositioning in the Banking and NPL sectors, deployment of an AI-driven debt collection solution, management of the ACPR regulatory approval process.

Development of the French office for a group specialised in NPL/REO portfolio valuation and real estate data. Partnerships with investment funds, REITs and banking institutions. Representation within professional associations (ULI, RICS, NPL associations).

Management of an architectural communications agency (real estate sector). CRM/ERP deployment, sector diversification and operational process optimisation.

€1.2bn NPL fund and management of a debt collection operation (80 employees, revenue: €4M). Acquisition and due diligence of loan portfolios from major financial institutions. Capital raising from European, American and Middle Eastern investors. Headcount growth from 30 to 80 people.
